New Payroll/HR System Update
Work on the new IBEX Payroll system, codenamed Everest, continues at a strong pace.
This Monday marks the first internal release of the system fully capable of running payroll, from setup of payroll instructions, compensation policies, accruals and employees, to running payroll with the new super fast input sheet and calculation engine. Some might call these the basics and nothing to get excited about - but with the new streamlined easy to use design and speed of use that we have built into our new system, we hope to set a new standard in these areas.
There is another 'standard' feature that we are making significant improvement on - Journal Entries. For some customers journal entries are extremely important. Being able to quickly and easily get the correct information about your payroll back into your accounting system is important and the more complicated your departments and accounts are the more difficult it can be.
Everest allows you to post payroll entries directly to different accounts from the company level, the department level or the employee level. The employee level is the new feature, seldom seen in any payroll system. You will be able, for instance, to post percentages of a person's salary to different accounts in your accounting system automatically with each payroll and leave the person in a single department in payroll. For us accounting types, this is exciting - really.
These new journal entry features are another example of the new features that Everest brings. It is our own wish list of payroll from our first 10 years in business. We can't wait to show it to you.
